The distinct characteristics of our wines come directly from our vineyards. 

We utilize gentle handling practices from hand picking and sorting at harvest to minimal filtering, if any, before bottling. Our traditional practices of simply guiding the wines throughout the winemaking process have led to classic and distinctive wines that have been enjoyed by our loyal supporters and respected by wine critics abroad.

– High elevation is a constant in most of our vineyard sources.

– Higher altitude means more intense UV exposure promoting ripeness and
concentrated flavors.

– Hillside vineyards have poor water retention leading to smaller clusters and
lower yields. 

– More skin to pulp contact equals more intese and powerful flavors with better structure.

– Hillside vines search deep for water through layers of different soil types adding
complexity to the finished wines.
